More Than One Kind of Comfort: Why We Blend Botanicals and Essential Oils
When we created Chrisoft, we did not want the formulation to focus on only one kind of experience.
We wanted something that addressed the physical and sensory side of self-care at the same time.
That is why we carefully blend botanicals, magnesium, nourishing ingredients, and essential oils.
The Physical Experience
Ingredients such as magnesium chloride and selected botanicals are part of our approach to creating a body cream designed for soothing and everyday comfort.
The botanical ingredients bring different traditional and formulation properties.
Some are associated with calming irritated-looking skin.
Some are used traditionally for body discomfort.
Some provide antioxidant properties.
Some help condition and moisturize the skin.
The goal is not for one ingredient to carry the entire formula.

The Sensory Experience
Then there are our essential oils.
We use a blend that includes:
Eucalyptus
Forest pine
Lavender
Chamomile
We chose them not only for their aroma but because scent can become an important part of the overall self-care experience.
